I had excellent overall stats, top 5 percent inAug 27 2004PreMed and Medical
I had excellent overall stats, top 5 percent in the class, 3.8 GPA, 12/273 kids, lots of volunteering (key club, speech and debate, spanish club, student senate, school newspaper, hospital volunteer work, pet shelter work)

Job over junior summer, did x-x skiing in winter for oen season and x-x running for one season.

1540 SAT I score (740 Verbal, 800 Math), 750 Chem SAT II, 710 SAT II Writing, and 750 math IC SAT II, ACT 34

My stats were way beyond average and I only ended up paying like 6k-7k a year, though most kids end up paying anywhere from 8k-15k (assuming you're instate)

Ify ou have good stats, hard working, and all around good student (3.5 at least GPA, 1200 SAT score at least, 650 sat iis, etc), you'll get in.

If you want to get into Geneseo as aJun 09 2004Psychology
If you want to get into Geneseo as a freshman your not going to have a good chance unless you are at the top of your class, with high SATs and lots of activities or sports. Geneseo does not mess around, they want students that show they can work hard. Admissions is much easier for transfers even a few bad semesters can be overlooked with a last few amazing semesters. I recommend a few knock out semesters at community college. At the transfer level activities, and SATs dont really matter as much as coursework, and students have a much better chance of getting in!
SAT: 1020 Female
Decent SAT scores (1220-1300 is avgMar 25 2003Political Science
Decent SAT scores (1220-1300 is avg.), good GPA in high school (around a 93 is avg. I believe), extracurriculars help out also
SAT: 1280 Male

I was and average students. Make sure you have an SAT higher than 1100 and a good amount of extracurriculers.
ACT: 30 SAT: 1180 Male
Well, I didn't do much in high school butSep 07 2002Math
Well, I didn't do much in high school but play sports. I was in a few honor societies, and consider myself to have been an above average student in high school. I thought my college essay was humorous (I wrote it about my feelings toward killing people in movies vs. killing animals). I really don't know what made them chose me. Admissions is so screwy that you never can tell why they chose some over others. It depends on the applicant pool each year. Just do what you want to do and be yourself. Don't do something just because it 'looks good'. It gives people the wrong impression of you.
SAT: 1250 Female
